PURPOSE: A communication system and a terminal are provided to detect a new linkup when a terminal is moved, immediate update configuration information of a network, and effectively use network resources. CONSTITUTION: A link state detector(13) detects whether a terminal(10) is linked up to or linked down from a port of a repeater. When the terminal(10) detects the repeater, namely, a base station, it is assumed that the terminal(10) is connected to the repeater immediately or within a short time. Meanwhile, if the mobile terminal(10) is handed over from the repeater, it is assumed that the terminal(10) is cut off from the repeater. When the link state detector(13) detects linkup, a change informing unit(14) transmits packets to a managing unit by using a packet transmitting unit(11) to inform about the change in a configuration of a network.
