PURPOSE: A cover for fishing rod, having excellent gripping characteristics, is provided to offer a covering member which is configured as a grip to be easily attached and detached. CONSTITUTION: The covering member(1), which is mounted on the pole, composing a fishing rod, includes: a body(2) as an approximately cylindrical form, which has a space for containing the pole withinside, and whose one side is opened in the longitudinal direction; and a coupling member, connecting the body(2) to the pole by solidly tightening the opening, located in the edge around the opened side of the body(2).
