PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor capable of calculating syndrome even when an abnormality arises in a synchronous system. SOLUTION: A syndrome calculating means (14) which calculates the syndrome of decoded data row (91+91 bytes) includes a calculating means (×α<SP>91</SP>,×α<SP>2×91</SP>, -) which performs calculation for forming the syndrome computation of the decoded data (91 bytes) of a synchronous frame unit which can be acquired by removing a synchronous code from one synchronous frame.
