METAL MASK FOR SCREEN PRINTING, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR AND PRINTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal mask for screen printing which enables an utmost reduction in phenomena of spread and lining of a solder paste causing short-circuiting or bridging and always enables stable printing with a good yield, even in printing a land portion of a narrow-pitch electronic component such as 0.4mm-pitch QFP by using a lead-free solder. SOLUTION: With the upper surface of a printing object made to face the lower surface of the mask 1, a squeegee 6 is slid on the upper surface of the mask 1 to fill a printing material in an opening part 2 provided in the mask 1, and by detaching the printing object from the mask 1 thereafter, the printing material is transferred onto the object. In the metal mask for screen printing used for this process, the surface roughness of the peripheral part of the opening part 2 of a small opening area in the lower surface of the mask 1 is made larger than that of the peripheral portion of an opening part 7 larger than the opening part 2.
