PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease supply device for a ball screw capable of properly automatically supplying the grease by properly detecting the actual demand of grease supply. SOLUTION: This grease supply device comprises a grease supply means 2 for supplying the grease to the ball screw 31, and a controller 3 for controlling the grease supply means. Temperature detecting means 4, 5 are respectively mounted to detect a temperature of a nut 33 of the ball screw 31 and an environment temperature of the ball screw 31. The controller 3 has a temperature difference determining part 9 for determining whether the variation of the temperature difference between the temperature of the nut 33 and the environment temperature obtained from the temperature detecting means 4, 5 is over a predetermined value or not. The controller 3 allows the grease supply means 2 to supply the grease when the temperature difference determining part 9 determines that the variation is over the predetermined value. The controller 3 may determine the concentration of iron powder in the grease, the axial load acting on the ball screw 31, the number of passing balls, the vibration and the like acting on the ball screw 31, besides the temperature difference, in supplying the grease.
