PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine whose drum diameter can be enlarged without enlarging the size of a cabinet and washing capacity can be increased keeping a size of the whole washing machine by integrally forming the cabinet and the washing tub. SOLUTION: This drum type washing machine includs a cabinet 10 to form the appearance, a washing tub 11 fixed in the cabinet 10 to store washing water, a drum 12 which is placed inside the washing tub 11, whose both side faces are rotatably supported by the cabinet 10, and which has a cut and formed entrance 16 on the circumferential face for taking in/out the washing, and a drive motor 20 fixed on one side face of the drum 12 to generate drive force to rotate the drum 12.
