PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic treatment apparatus capable of performing the ultrasonic treatment without leaving an uncut part by equalizing the frictional heat. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic treatment apparatus has an ultrasonic treatment instrument comprising a treatment part (an ultrasonic probe) 41f for transmitting ultrasonic vibrations generated by an ultrasonic transducer and treating an organic tissue, a jaw 51 rotatably supported, facing the treatment part 41f, for grasping the organic tissue between the jaw 51 and the treatment part 41f and a grasping member 54 swingably attached to the jaw 51, to be brought into contact with the organic tissue. In the ultrasonic treatment instrument, the swinging fulcrum 61 of the grasping member 54 is positioned so that the frictional heat generated between the treatment part 41f and the organic tissue by the ultrasonic vibrations of the treatment part 41f is equalized in performing the ultrasonic treatment by grasping the organic tissue between the treatment part 41f and the grasping member 54.
