PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter for a digital still camera having an ND filter whose cost is reduced and which can be made thin. SOLUTION: A shutter blade 3 and the ND filter 4 are rotatably attached to a shaft 1c, and a driving pin 7c integrated with the rotor 7 of a motor M is fit in the slots 3a and 4a of the blade 3 and the filter 4. The filter 4 is not superposed on the blade 3 only at the notched part 3b of the blade 3. When a coil 8 is not energized, both ends of a coil spring 10 hold the pin 7c in between, so that the blade 3 is maintained at an initial position, and an aperture part 1a is covered with the filter 4. Photography when subject light is bright is started in a state where the blade 3 is at the initial position and is finished after the blade 3 rotates clockwise. Photography when the subject light is dark is started after the blade 3 rotates counterclockwise from the initial position and is finished after it largely rotates clockwise.
