PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifrequency oscillator in which reduction in size is accelerated by providing a quartz crystal strip with three pairs of exciting electrode. SOLUTION: A plurality of pairs of exciting electrode are formed oppositely on the major surfaces of one quartz crystal strip and a plurality of oscillating frequencies are attained by making the thickness of the pairs of exciting electrode different. Centers of the pairs of exciting electrode are arranged on a concentric circle at a constant interval. Furthermore, a groove for interrupting acoustic coupling is provided between the pairs of exciting electrode.
