PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rough machine a blade section on a disc with a blade (that is, blisk) to a near net shape (a state near a net shape) at a higher metal removing speed and lower tooling cost than those of lathe machining, milling, EDM (electric discharge machining) or ECM (electrochemical machining). SOLUTION: This machining apparatus is constructed so that the blade section on the blisk may be rough-machined to the near net shape, using ring or reversed-cup-shaped cutting elements (102, 202) as a tool electrode for electric processing.
