<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of easily arranging such that the color of image data generated by a still camera, a video camera, or the like, is adjusted appropriately according to users' tastes, and image quality thereof is also subjected to adjustment processing. <P>SOLUTION: An output device for outputting an image using image data is used. The output device comprises: an image quality adjustment unit for adjusting a color in an area near a predetermined memory color in the image data such that it nears the target color; a target color setting unit for allowing the user to set the target color; and an image output unit for outputting an image according to the color data of which color has been adjusted. Moreover, an image quality adjustment condition for adjusting a special image quality is determined using the result of evaluation for each of a plurality of image groups that include images which differ with each other, and that include at least one of natural images for evaluation which differ in special image quality with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
