<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect an in-vehicle system having no communication facility with a display device for displaying the state of an air conditioner by an AVC-LAN to the display device and to allow the normal operation of the display device and the air conditioner. <P>SOLUTION: A communication unit 21 of an adapter 2 transmits a signal indicating connection with the in-vehicle system 3 to the air conditioner display 1 through a communication (transmission) port 22 and the AVC-LAN 10 when it detects connection with an ACC power supply 11 and receives a signal from the in-vehicle system 3.
