摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carriage drive mechanism, in which a carriage can be fitted readily to a specified position of a rotary shaft and which can improve the stability of performance and reliability, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In the carriage drive mechanism 1, a carriage 2 has an elastic plate section 24 formed as its one part and an engaging protrusion 80 formed at its top end part. The carriage 2 is fitted with a plate spring 9 which urges the elastic plate section 24 in the direction to drive the engaging protrusion 80 into the spiral groove 51 of a rotary shaft 5. The engaging protrusion 80 is completely separated from the spiral groove 51, with the plate spring 9 not fitted to the carriage 2 and with the carriage 2 fitted to the rotary shaft 5 without fitting the plate spring 9 to the carriage 2.
