PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive capable of not only attaining a right speed of on/off by a small number of elements in a power transistor driven by a gate driver, but also increasingly adapting to power transistors with different output sizes, adapting to a drive of a motor of PWM drive system, finding a wide applications in the use of other motor drive systems and power transistors as switching elements, and further attaining a small size, a low cost, and low noise. SOLUTION: The gate driver and the motor drive including this includes a first current source 31 that outputs a first current value I1 and raises gate potential when conducting a power transistor, and a second current source 32 that outputs a second current value I2 and makes gate potential to decline when interrupting the power transistor wherein a first curent value and a second current value can be set by one or more setting terminals.
