PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan motor of a simle construction and a microwave oven having the fan motor. SOLUTION: A fan motor includes a stator, a rotar surrounded by the stator, a rotating shaft that is inserted in the rotar and rotates together with the rotor, and extends from both ends of the rotor, a supporting member mounted on the front of the stator and having a through-hole for housing the rotating shaft, and a bearing which is mounted on the through-hole of the supporting member for supporting rotatably the rotating shaft, and in which the tip extends by a predetermined length toward the outside from the through-hole to rotate both ends of the rotating shaft around a fixed shaft line. The microwave oven is configured to include a body exhibiting an appearnce, a cooking chamber and an electronic chamber provided in the body, an air fan installed in the electronic chamber, and a fan motor for rotating the air fan.
