The guide line for personnel engaged in fire-fighting, rescue and similar operations under conditions obscuring sight and preventing normal radio communication comprises an outer woven cover (C) and a core element in form of a flexible radio antenna (B) which consists of an axial cable with a PVC cover and a connector unit (A) at its ends for radio equipment. The outer cover (C) is provided with elements allowing forward and return directions of the guide line to be distinguished by touch from one another.
