<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical transmission system for optimizing the bias of the laser diode when transmitting the SCM analog light. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmission system comprises an optical transmitter which converts an electrical signal of a base band into an optical signal by using the laser diode that converts the electrical signal into the optical signal by a predetermined bias and outputs to an optical fiber, an optical receiver which converts the optical signal transmitted from the optical transmitter into the electrical signal of the base band, a recovery unit which detects error in the optical signal generated by the bias of the laser diode based on the electrical signal converted by the optical receiver, a bias adjuster which optimally adjusts the bias of the laser diode based on an error value detected by the recovery unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
