<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight, hollow frame for a vehicle capable of being fabricated easily at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The frame 1 is equipped with a frame body 10 consisting of aluminum or aluminum alloy cast and a lid 20 made of aluminum or aluminum alloy. The frame body 10 has an approximately angle section, and the over-part of the body 10 is left open. At least part of the opening 11a in the body 10 is blocked with the lid 20.
