PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothbrush, the bristle tips of which have excellent reachability to an interdentium part, a cervical part and an interdental triangular part, and having good actual feeling of toothbrushing. SOLUTION: As the bristles to be planted, tapered bristles 1 as in the following are used. The bristles have the maximum diameter part 0.14 to 0.26 mm thick and are tapered so that the sectional area is continuously or substantially continuously decreased from the maximum diameter part toward the tip, and that the maximum diameter in a position 0.1 mm away from the tip is 0.03 to 0.09 mm, and the maximum diameter in a position 8 mm away from the tip is 80 to 90% of the maximum diameter part of the bristle. After the tapered bristles are planted in the planted surface of the head part, the tips of the bristles are worked to be rounded, conical, or into the shape of a spatulas, so that the whole or some of the bristles have the maximum diameter of 0.02 to 0.07 mm in a position 0.1 mm away from the tip.
