METHOD OF MANUFACTURING NB3SN WIRE ROD

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a new Nb3Sn wire rod realizing the manufacture of the Nb3Sn wire rod with high superconducting characteristics by removing extra constituting elements in Nb3Sn to be produced. SOLUTION: A precursor wire rod with extra fine multi-core structure containing an Nb/Sn-Bi micro composite filament comprising Sn-Bi alloy containing Nb and 5 at% or less Bi in Cu which is a matrix material is heat-treated at 900-1085°C for less than one minute in a heating process of a rate of temperature rise of 100°C/s or more and a quick cooling process of a cooling rate of 100°C/s or more to defuse and react the micro composite filament in the extra fine multi-core structure and to convert into the Nb3Sn filament.
