PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive capable of always exhibiting a resistance force with respect to force of a rotary center line direction or the rotational torque of the rotary shaft applied to the turntable and reliably obtaining desired sticking strength between a rotary shaft and a turntable, and to provide a pickup for an optical disk recording medium and a method for manufacturing the disk drive. SOLUTION: A disk drive 50 is provided with a turntable 56 for supporting a disk medium 54, and a rotary shaft 58 to which the boss 52 of the turntable is fixed. The disk side of the inner circumferential surface of a rotational center hole 62 for inserting the rotary shaft formed in the boss is formed in a fitting part with which a rotary shaft outer circumferential surface is fitted, and the boss side of the inner circumferential surface is formed so as to create a continuous clearance 62b along the rotary shaft outer circumferential surface. The boss side has a diameter expanded part 62c opened in an outside space, and the clearance and the diameter expanded part are filled with adhesive 64. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
