PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shawl usable in versatile uses by one shawl; and to provide a method for knitting the shawl. SOLUTION: The versatile shawl is knitted so that one edge of each set forming the shawl is knitted while increasing stitches so that one terminal may be widened than the other terminal to make warp and weft lines remarkable on the front surface and warp lines remarkable on the back surface.
