PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach a stop lamp switch to a vertically installed master cylinder. SOLUTION: A center axis C of a cylinder body 7 is arranged to face to an almost orthogonal direction in relation to a virtual line B passing a center axial line A of a handle bar 2. An operation lever 5 pushing a piston 12 in the cylinder body 7 through a push rod 6 is divided into a lever main body 25 and a knocker 26. A grip margin adjusting mechanism 29 is installed between the lever main body 25 and the knocker 26, the stop lamp switch 31 is mounted on the cylinder body 7, and a switch pressure part 26e which operates an effector 31a of the stop lamp switch 31 accompanying rotation of the operation lever 5 is formed on the knocker 26.
