<p>An inflatable protection structure (1) is provided comprising, in use, three arms (2, 3 and 4), two arms (2, 3) being generally on a common plane and the third one (4) extending generally perpendicularly from that plane at or around the junction between the first and second arms to form therewith a generally T-shaped protection structure into which may be introduced a fluid material under pressure to thereafter retain its shape. The protection structure may be adapted to at least partially float and in which all three of the arms are fillable with a liquid, the structure being at least partially supported by a separate buoyancy aid (18) such that one (3) of the two arms on a common plane is submerged in use whilst the other (2) is not. This provides an effective barrier to terrorist attack against shipping by waterborne suicide bombers.</p> |
