<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a vehicle which is so constituted as to be able to suppress excessive torque which is easy to occur via a torque converter. <P>SOLUTION: This controller is equipped with a motor control means 15 which controls the drive state of a motor 3, an engine control means 14 which controls the drive state of an engine 2, and a torque control means 16 which controls the drive torque of the motor 3 to be within the maximum input torque of an automatic gear change mechanism 5 which is computed based on the torque ratio of a torque converter 4, in case that the drive of the engine 2 is started by the engine control means 14 after the drive of the motor 3 is started by the motor control means 15. Consequently, this controller can prevent such nonconformity that somewhat excessive drive torque is transmitted to the side of a drive wheel via the automatic gear change mechanism 5 from the torque converter 4 at start. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
