摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasification method and gasification apparatus that can efficiently recover energy in the form of a combustible gas from a process of incinerating biomass, and can manufacture a sintered, granulated aggregate using incineration ashes as a raw material. <P>SOLUTION: In a circulating fluidized gasification furnace 2 for thermally decomposing biomass, sewage sludge b is thermally decomposed by high-speed diffusion, while supplying air or oxygen, at an air ratio of 0.1-0.7 and at a thermally decomposition temperature in the range of 450-850&deg;C, and a thermally decomposed gas d is obtained by separating the fluidizing medium. The gas d is modified in a vertical circulating fluidized furnace for modification 3 while supplying oxygen c, at an oxygen ratio of 0.1-0.5 and at a reaction temperature in the range of 900-1,200&deg;C, to form a combustible gas e2.
