PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively protect data to be recorded and a medium for recording the data when dew condensation occurs in a disk drive. SOLUTION: The data and management information based on the data are recorded on an optical disk 1 inserted into a disk drive 3, and in parallel with this recording, a moisture condensation sensor 8 is used to periodically detect a resistance value that corresponds to relative humidity in the disk drive 3, and when the resistance value exceeds a first threshold before finishing recording of the management information, recording of the data on the recording medium is stopped.
