PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unauthorized access from reaching a host even when an attack such as remote buffer overflow is made on unknown weakness. SOLUTION: This contents server protection system is provided with a character code conversion means 32 converting an access data packet into a character code of an octet unit, a shell code storage means 35 storing a character string of a shell code, and an octet character code in the n-th position in the access data packet converted by the character code conversion means 32. The contents server protection system is also provided with a character code extraction means 32, which specifies the n+1st octet character code, specifies the shell code including the specified n-th octet character code in the shell code storage means 35, and extracts all the character codes following the n-th octet character code, a determination means determining which character in all the extracted characters matches the n+1st octet character code, and an access data packet discard means 32 discarding the determined access data packet.
