PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-scaled can made of a metal sheet, excellent in resistance to a repeated load, which enables a lid to be surely and easily opened along a score provided on a lid plate, and which is prevented from being broken, for example, during trucking. SOLUTION: This large-scaled can made of the metal sheet has the lid opening score which is engraved in a top plate, a bottom plate or both of them along a predetermined lid-opening line; a grooved bottom part of the lid opening score is formed in an approximate arc shape; and the remaining thickness of the score is set to be in a range of 40-55% of a plate thickness. Preferably, the radius of curvature of the grooved bottom part of the lid opening score is in a range of 0.1-0.4 mm. Preferably, the top plate or the bottom plate includes 0.04-0.08% C and 0.006% O or less in terms of a mass ratio, has a composition wherein the rest is composed of Fe and an unavoidable element, and is made of non-ageing low-carbon steel with a tensile strength of 300-450 MPa.
