PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerator having excellent heat transfer performance and simple structure and an absorption refrigerating machine with the regenerator. SOLUTION: This regenerator 1 increases the concentration of an adsorbent installed in the absorption refrigerating machine. The regenerator 1 comprises a plurality of hollow plates 20 allowing heating fluid 61w heating the adsorbent to pass the hollow side thereof and generally vertically arranged at specified intervals generally parallel with each other, a connection passage 21 connecting the hollow plates 20 to each other and supplying the heating fluid 61w to the plurality of hollow plates 20, and a shell 3 storing the hollow plates 20 and accumulating the adsorbent so that the bottom parts of the hollow plates can be dipped in the adsorbent.
