PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe-deposit box system using a biological recognition technology by which only an identified customer, whose individual biological characteristic is recognized to determine the authenticity of the customer, is allowed to use the safe-deposit box in a financial institution such as a bank, a securities company or the like lending a part of its safe-deposit box to the customer. SOLUTION: The system comprises a biological characteristic recognition device which generates an authentication packet by comparing the biological characteristic of a registered customer and of a present user and determining whether they are identical; a microcontroller which receives and reads the authentication packet sent from the recognition device and sends an electric signal for opening a door of the safe deposit box; an electronic lock which opens and closes the door while operating according to the electric signal of the microcontroller and an LED which is turned on or off according to a state of the open or close of the electronic lock; and a number of safe-deposit boxes provided with the electronic locks.
