PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of a composite type caisson, in which a steel material section can be mounted and demounted, in the composite type caisson composed of a concrete section and the steel material section. SOLUTION: In the composite type caisson structure having a cutting edge section 12, a concrete skeleton section 14 installed on the upper section of the cutting edge section 12 and the steel material section 21, which is formed in a cylindrical shape by connecting a plurality of steel sheet piles to the upper section of the skeleton section 14 and can be removed, cylindrical socket section 16 disposed in upright onto the top face of the skeleton section 14 are mounted on the top face of the skeleton section 14 at prescribed intervals, closed-sectional steel sheet piles 18 are fitted into the socket sections 16 and the adjacent closed-sectional steel sheet piles 18 are connected mutually to form the steel material sections 21. In the caisson structure, the steel material sections 21 are pushed detachably against the skeleton section 14 by clamping rods 20c connected to anchors 20a buried into the socket sections 16 by pushing bolts at the upper end sections of the steel sheet piles 18.
