PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a general-purpose interface device for power line communication system, in order to allow the device correspond to the power line communication system. SOLUTION: The interface unit for power line communication system 12 comprises: a device communication processing part 25, which transmits and receives a communication signal with the device 13; a power line communication processing part 21 which transmits and receives a communication signal with a power line 14; a property information storage part 22, which stores property for the power line communication system in which virtual codes are established beforehand in the property information, a central processing part 23, which creates a managing table associating information related to the device 13 with virtual codes, when the part 25 is connected to the device 13; and a management table memory part 24 which stores the management table created.
