A stringless connector for a strand (10) of beads (11) includes a two-piece interlocking assembly (12, 13), each piece provided with an eyelet (16, 25) for connection to eyelets of connectors for adjacent beads (11). The eyelet (25) of one member (13) defines a pair of legs (24, 24) that are inserted into one end of the bore (14) in a bead (11), one of the legs (24) having locking tooth (26) projecting toward the other leg (24). The other member (12) has a straight shank (15) extending into the bore (14) from its eyelet (16), the end of the shank (15) provided with a second locking tooth (17) which enters the slot between the legs (24, 24) of the first member (13), overrides the tooth (26) thereon and interlocks therewith. |
