KENAF-FIBER-REINFORCED RESIN COMPOSITION

A fiber-reinforced resin composition suitable for production of molded items such as electrical and electronic apparatus products, etc. In particular, a biodegradable resin composition comprising kenaf fibers wherein the content of kenaf fibers is in the range of 10 to 50 mass%. The biodegradable resin is preferably a crystalline thermoplastic resin, especially preferably polylactic acid. The average fiber length (number average fiber length of fibers excluding fragments) of kenaf fibers is preferably in the range of 100 mum to 20 mm, and the kenaf fibers preferably contain kenaf fibers of 300 mum to 20 mm fiber length. The kenaf fibers are preferably fibers produced from the bast part of kenaf.
