<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter capable of suppressing a recovery current being generated in a recirculation diode without increasing a cost, and to provide a method for suppressing the recovery current. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter comprises a DC power supply 51, an inverter 52 for inverting a power from the DC power supply 51 into specified power, recirculation diodes 52-7 to 52-12, a section generating a saw-tooth wave having an identical frequency and a phase for each switching element of each phase, and a section for generating driving signals of the switching elements 52-1 to 52-6 based on a command value and a saw-tooth wave provided depending on an inductive load, e.g. a motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
