CABINET FOR OPTICAL CABLE CONNECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform connection, switching, branching and restoration of an optical cable, to tightly hold the optical cable to be introduced into an optical cable connection box, and to easily perform wiring operations without exerting any adverse effects on the transmission characteristics of the optical cable.

SOLUTION: A cabinet is constituted by detachably connecting an optical connector connection box B to a cable introduction hole 1 of an optical cable connection box A. The connection box B is equipped with: a protection cover 4 having a space 3 for storing an optical connector 2 projecting from the optical cable connection box A and holding and connecting an optical cable C; and an adapter base plate 5 to which the optical connector 2 is fitted.
