<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a node which can not be supplied with a synchronizing clock from a clock supply source, to be autonomously supplied with the same synchronizing clock. <P>SOLUTION: An exchange 101<SB>1</SB>inputs video data 103 sent by a video distributor 102 and sends an ATM cell synchronized to the clock to exchanges 101<SB>2</SB>-101<SB>4</SB>by a signal (including light) including a frequency component to be the synchronizing clock source. When a fault occurs in the middle of lines, the exchange 101<SB>2</SB>that detects the fault, sends an AIS cell to a clock synchronizing switching OAM connection 109 and the terminal exchange 101<SB>4</SB>switches a port (f) to which the synchronizing clock should be inputted, to a port (g) and redirects an RDI cell. The exchanges 101<SB>3</SB>, 101<SB>2</SB>that receive the RDI cell, receive the synchronizing clock by switching to ports (e), (c) to obtain the same clock. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
