PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a fine height adjustment of a leg piece part to positively connect and fix a support piece part to the leg piece part. SOLUTION: This bracket for a ridge is provided with an upper bracket 1 with the leg piece part 12 connected to the lower side of a receiving part 11 for supporting a coping, a ridgepole M, or the like; a lower pedestal body 2 with a support piece part 22 connected to the upper side of mounting seat parts 21 fixed to a roof top part Y; and a height adjusting mechanism 3 for adjusting the height position of the leg piece part 12 with respect to the support piece part 22 to connect and fix them. In the height adjusting mechanism 3, an elongate hole 13 is vertically formed in either one of the leg piece part 12 and the support piece part 22, and the other is provided with a locking part 23 locked into the elongate hole 13. A fixing means 31 is further provided for bringing the leg piece part 12 into pressure contact with the support piece part 22 in a desired position to connect and fix both of them.
