PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and continuously discharge sand to a conduit of a water reservoir type hydraulic power plant. SOLUTION: This inflow sediment removing method for the conduit removes the sand by a branch waterway by arranging the branch waterway communicating with a main river by interposing sediment separating equipment in the middle of the conduit for communicating the power plant with an intake of a water reservoir of the water reservoir type hydraulic power plant.
