PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross flow fan for blowing a stable air flow from fan heads in areas at both axial ends of a fan while securing a uniform and wide blowing range and a good blowing quantity without causing a surging phenomenon. SOLUTION: The cross flow fan 51 comprises a plurality of fan heads 52, 52A, 52B having a plurality of blades circularly erected around a fan axis O in the state of being inclined at given angles to the fan axis O along the peripheral direction and concentrically arranged between a pair of side plates 53a, 53b. The plurality of fan heads 52, 52A, 52B are rotated around the fan axis O to blow the air flow. In the cross flow fan 51, the directions of the inclination of blades 54, 54A-54D of each other neighboring fan heads of the plurality of fan heads 52, 52A, 52B are set to be mutually opposite to the fan axis O.
