Portable electronic instrument of the watch and bracelet type having in a casing (2) a metallic housing (4) with base and lateral walls and sealed window opening for a glass (3). The antenna (20) rests on the exterior face (7a) of metallized plastic glass support (7). A circular fitting ring (8) is fitted between the support and the base. An electronic module (6) and a display unit (5) are enclosed between the support and the fitting, both of which form a removable sub- assembly. The support is electrically connected to the metallic housing. A protective cover (9) made from a dielectric material fits over the support and covers the antenna. The fitting is fixed in the base (4a) by fixings. The instrument includes:- (a) a housing enclosing an electronic module and display unit; (b) a glass fitted on the housing; (c) an electrical energy supply source (10) located in the housing feeding the module and display, and; (d) a radio frequency receiving and/or transmission antenna electrically connected to the module.
