A rail lamp arrangement comprises an extended rail (10) carrying two isolated (11) electrical conductors (12) and having many linear slots (103) into which lamps are clipped by turning. The lamps have an adapter (20) to fit the slot and clamps connect to the rail conductors. The lamp head is on a flexible tube. An independent claim is also included for a display using the above lighting system.
