<p>A magnetoresistive (MR) head having a CPP magnetoresistive film or a tunnel magnetoresistive film. The MR head is characterized by exchange bias configuration in which a ferromagnetic film controlling a magnetic domain of a free layer is composed of a ferromagnetic film having electric insulation. With this configuration, it is possible to provide an MR head which can handle a very small track width while suppresssing lowering of the reproduction output of the MR head.</p> |
