<p>A display device wherein the load of a power supply that supplies power to display elements has been reduced and a display exhibiting an excellent visibility can be realized. In a display screen (2), there are arranged a plurality of pixels (11), each of which includes a display element (20) and a drive circuit (Tr,C,SW1) that supplies the display element with a current having an amount in accordance with a video signal. A display condition determining circuit (3) determines the display condition of the display screen (2) twice or more times per frame interval. A dimmer circuit (4) changes the time for which to supply the current from the drive circuit to the display element (20) in accordance with the output from the display condition determining circuit (3), and performs a dimmer control twice or more times per frame interval.</p> |
