<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixed hydroxide particle which comprises manganese and nickel in a substantial ratio of 1:1 (hereafter described as "manganese:nickel (1:1)"). <P>SOLUTION: The manganese-nickel mixed hydroxide particle comprises manganese and nickel in a substantial ratio of 1:1 and has an average particle size of 5-15μm, a tap density of 0.6-1.4 g/mL, a bulk density of 0.4-1.0 g/mL, a specific surface area of 20-55 m<SP>2</SP>/g, a sulfate radical content of 0.25-0.45 wt.% and a ratio (I<SB>0</SB>/I<SB>1</SB>) of the maximum intensity (I<SB>0</SB>) of peaks within 15≤2θ≤25 to the maximum intensity (I<SB>1</SB>) of peaks within 30≤2θ≤40 in X-ray diffraction of 1-6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
