<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust system providing good fuel economy and preventing deterioration of catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust system 2 is provided with an exhaust passage 25 flowing exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine therein, an exhaust emission control means (three-way conversion catalyst part) 27 purifying exhaust gas by catalyst, a thermoelectric conversion means (thermoelectric conversion module) 30-converting thermal energy of exhaust gas to electric energy. Bypass passages 26, 26 flowing exhaust gas with detouring the exhaust emission control means 27 is provided and an exhaust passage 25 is arranged at a center part, the exhaust emission control means 27 is provided in the exhaust passage 25, the bypass passages 26, 26 are arranged outside of the exhaust passage 25, and the thermoelectric conversion means 30-are provided outside of the bypass passages 26, 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
