<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable portable terminal device capable of preventing one casing from being turned at a predetermined angle or larger relative to the other casing due to the erroneous recognition or the like of a turnable direction. <P>SOLUTION: This foldable portable terminal device 30 is provided with a first casing 32 having a display part 11 and a second casing 34 having an operation part 16. The first casing is put over the second casing to cover the operation part in a closed state. The first and second casings are connected to each other so as to be turnable around an axis perpendicular to a plane on which the operation part is arranged. A display face in the display part can be exposed to the outside in both of the closed state and an opened state. The foldable portable terminal device 30 is provided with detection parts 38, 40, and 42 detecting the turning of the first casing beyond a predetermined angle range, notification parts 50, 52, and 54 giving notifications via one of optical, sound, and vibration means, and a control part 62 controlling the notification parts on the basis of signals from the detection parts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
