PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for molding a foamed molded article which can miniaturize a driving device for mold closing, is simple in molding conditions, and can well produce a large plate-shaped foamed molded article. SOLUTION: In the mold for molding the foamed molded article wherein the cavity (CV) formed between a female mold (1) and a male mold (2) is filled with raw material beads (N), and high temperature steam (S) supplied to the steam chambers (13) and (23) in the female and male molds (1) and (2) is allowed to circulate to heat and expand the beads (N) to form the foamed molded article (M), the plate-shaped space between the outer surfaces of both side walls (23a) and (23a) in the direction crossing the mold opening/closing direction at a right angle in the protruded parts (22) of the male mold (2) and the inner surface of both side walls (12a) and (12b) of the recessed part (12) of the female mold (1) respectively opposed to the outer surfaces of both side walls (23a) and (23a) is formed as the cavity (CV).
