PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehydration promoter of calcium carbonate slurry, capable of achieving a high dehydration effect by a lower adding amount as compared with those of conventional agents and also without affecting environment by considering the recent increase of concern for the environment. SOLUTION: This dehydration promoter of calcium carbonate slurry is obtained by using≥1 kind selected from a specific polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ether, specific polyoxyethylene alkyl ether and specific polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ether.
